Lake Buddies

Over the Memorial Day Weekend, Logan started out having a good time. He got to play in the yard, swing forever, stick his feet in the water (it was too cold to go any further!) and meet the newest Lake Rat - Audrey (our lake neighbor). Unfortunately, on Sunday he started not feeling so good. We took him to the doctor and found out he had a sore throat so we got him some medicine. We couldn't believe the poor little guy was sick again. He's not yet back to 100% but well on his way to feeling better... click HERE for more pics of the weekend.

Logan + Slugger = Best Friends

We had a big day today - it was Logan's first ROYAL'S game! It was Slugger Sunday so we went early to be sure we got a free Build-A-Bear Slugger. Logan loves him and we really enjoyed hanging out at the new stadium. We made it to the 5th inning and then it was time for Logan's nap - as you can see, he shut his eyes as soon as he hit the car seat. Actually, he laid his head on Jason's shoulder walking to the car and was ready to conk out! What a gorgeous day to take in Kansas City - GO ROYALS!

Party Animal!

Logan had his 1st Birthday Party this weekend and it was a hit! The weather could not have been more perfect and Logan himself couldn't have been better. Since last Wednesday (his birthday) it has been pretty hectic with family in town and preparing for the big party - but Logan LOVED every minute! We were worried that he might be overwhelmed with all the people and other than the first few minutes - he shocked us all by being himself and not clinging to us. Yeah! People were able to see him in action :) He even really got into opening presents and was excited about nearly everything - people were so generous and obviously knew what he'd like! Happy Birthday Logan!

Today Logan is ONE! He woke up and opened his present, played for a while, ate some pancakes and took a nap (sounds awesome already, huh?!). After he woke up, Jason, Logan and I all went to the play center so Logan could play around and Jason could see what it was all about. We had a great time! We then met Uncle Justin at Planet Sub for $2 turkey subs - yum! Logan even got his own and ate almost half! He's napping now and then we're off to Deanna Rose, a local children's farmstead. It should be lots of fun - we'll try to post more pics and updates later today!

May Day

It's official - today is Logan's first MAY DAY! (And for any of you who don't know - I love this day - what's better than an excuse to give someone flowers just because!) We spent the day delivering mini bouquets of flowers to people in the neighborhood, as well as other friends. Logan thought it was pretty funny and of course loves looking at and touching the flowers. As we ran away each time, he would just giggle like crazy. I can't wait until next year when he hides in the bushes to watch the neighbors faces as they pick up their flowers - he'll be laughing so noisily they will know it's him for sure!
