We got lucky this week and were able to visit the
Kansas City Zoo for the first time with friends Juana and Mason. Mason was born only a few days after Logan so it's fun to watch both their similarities and differences at the same age. Logan had a rough morning, but ended up pulling through and having a fairly good time at the zoo.
In particular, he really liked the Sea Lion Show and otters...well, okay and of course also the ducks! We hang out all morning seeing animals that originate from Africa, South America, Australia, etc. and he's into the
ducks?! Maybe next year he'll have an appreciation for the elephant's enormous size and the chimp's eerily human characteristics? Or, maybe he will always just really like
ducks - that's okay, right? :)
Maybe more than anything else, both Mason and Logan were infatuated with the other kids at the zoo. They would watch and impersonate, giggle and run after them. Above is a pic of Logan trying to hold Mason's hand - she wants nothing to do with that! What a fun day...
