Where Can You Sing and Dance?

You ask - where is the best place to sing and dance with your little one? Why Kindermusik of course! Okay, so you may have never thought to ask that question but Logan started Kindermusik last Friday and we thought we'd share:

The first class went like this. We arrived to class as one of the first ones; there were scarves in the middle of the floor and Logan loved them! He threw them around and rolled with them covering his face giggling. I'm thinking to myself, "Wow, he's already having a blast!" As more and more people arrived, he was still doing okay, walking around and checking everyone out. As class continued, we took a turn downhill. He clung to my lap as we sang and attempted to dance around the room. He stared at everyone with a look that said, "Why are you singing and dancing around like an idiot my mom - I just want to go back to sleep?!" Finally, with about 10 minutes remaining of class he warmed up a little, stepped away and actually got into the music a little by bouncing up and down. After talking with the instructor, she said it typically takes a few classes to get warmed up to the environment, which I should have guessed since it always takes Logan a bit to warm up to anything.

While in the car we've been listening the Kindermusik CD to get him a little more familiar and he's been bobbing his head non-stop. So...we've got another class tomorrow morning, hopefully it will be just a little better than the last. Wish us luck...we'll be back after class with an update!
